You certainly know by now that Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt has become a leading recreational spot since the late seventies, following the return of this area to Egyptian sovereignty.
But it was not until the late eighties and mid-nineties, that it really became a strong magnet for tourists from all around the world. The previously rugged and barren soil amidst an unforgiving hot desert, has transformed into an oasis attracting tourists to the unlimited supply of all-inclusive resorts, recreation spots, Sandy beaches, and astonishing coral reefs.
Today, Sharm El-Sheikh stands as the main gate to the southern Egyptian Sinai Peninsula, as a prominent tourist attraction, amongst the many tourist spots that Egypt has to offer.
From the best diving spots in the world, to the beautiful and pristine beaches, till the adventurous guided desert tours; Sharm El-Sheik keeps its promise to provide the best tourist experience.
When it comes to culinary experience, there is also a wide variety to choose from the Egyptian cuisine, especially the great seafood dishes. Not to mention the rich town of Sharm El-Sheikh which has thrived lately with many restaurants and varied shops, and is a key spot for any traveler to Sinai.
Last but not least, is the best travel times to Sharm El-Sheikh. For me the best time would be during May and June, where it is summer time with bearable temperatures and minimal humidity. But this is my personal opinion, but in general, Spring, autumn and winter are also great times for visiting the area. As for July and August where temperatures soar above 40 Celsius daily, you will have to be very “brave” and previously accustomed to such weather. Again it is a matter of personal choice, and I certainly find it possible if the main reason for water sports recreation and nightly tours.
All in all, this place is highly recommended for any type of tourist and we would certainly recommend it.
